In 2013, had "Cutaneous T-cell Lymphoma Stage 1A" cancer under the left arm pit.

Had Melanoma cancer in 2007. Some lymph notes removed.

Her dad was born and raised in Bayonne, NJ. He was in the U.S. Navy during WW II. He saw action in the Atlantic prior to being stationed in Astoria, OR. where he met Lori's mom. Her grandfather changed his last name from Fiutkowski to Fitz. Lori's dad was raised Catholic. He was a sign painter and owner of ABC Signs in Portland, OR. He passed away in January 1996 from lung cancer. Lori's mom (Margery (Stoner) Fitz) was born and raised in Williston, ND. She worked in the Vancouver Shipyards during WW II. She retired from the U.S. Bank as an assistant branch manager, at Hollywood Branch, Portland, OR. She passed away in February 2007 from alzheimer's disease. She is buried at Rose City Park Cemetery, Portland, OR.
