After being discharged from the US Army, Tony purchased a new 1955 Fairlane Ford directly from Ford Motors in Detroit through his brother Matt's employee incentive, which he had saved from the army. Shortly thereafter, he traveled to Palmdale, California, and worked in construction, where Puis worked. After about a year and half, Tony returned home to work on the family farm.
